About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound calls to prospects/leads to cross-sell loan products (e.g., Micro-Credit, Flexi Loan, EWA, and related offerings)
- Clearly explain product features, eligibility, and benefits to build customer awareness and interest
- Drive product adoption by guiding prospects through the application/onboarding process
- Meet and exceed daily/weekly/monthly calling metrics, including: Number of calls made Connection rate Conversion rate (lead to application, application to disbursal)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of calls, lead status, and customer interactions in CRM/Excel trackers
- Handle prospect objections and queries professionally, escalating complex cases as needed
- Follow up systematically with warm/interested leads to maximize conversion
- Ensure calls are conducted in compliance with internal quality and regulatory guidelines (no misrepresentation of product terms, mandatory disclosures, etc.)
Provide regular reporting on call performance, pipeline status, and conversion trends to the Team Lead
Collaborate with the Credit Risk and Product teams to relay customer feedback and market insights
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Graduate (any discipline)
Experience: 23 years of outbound telecalling/sales experience, preferably within a fintech, NBFC, or financial services organization
Communication: Strong verbal communication skills; ability to explain financial products clearly and persuasively
Excel Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (data entry, basic formulas, pivot tables, tracking dashboards) for maintaining call logs and performance trackers
Sales Orientation: Demonstrated ability to meet targets in a metrics-driven outbound calling environment
Product Aptitude: Ability to quickly learn and articulate loan product features, eligibility criteria, and terms
Other: Comfortable working with CRM/dialer systems; basic understanding of lending/credit concepts is a plus
