The role involves assisting in medication preparation, dispensing, inventory management, and sterile/non-sterile compounding . The technician provides cross coverage, supports quality assurance, maintains documentation, and utilizes automated systems . They may lead specific tasks or areas, including training, system maintenance, and process improvements.
Responsibilities Include
- Ensuring compliance with quality standards and documentation
- Supporting medication workflow and preparation
- Managing inventory activities such as storage, ordering, and rotation
- Assuming primary responsibility for specialized tasks or areas
- Pursuing proficiency in complex compounding and advanced responsibilities
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-5 years of experience (preferred 5-10 years)
- State Board Pharmacy Registration and Pharmacy Tech Certification
