Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Float Technician to support Oncology/Infusion Pharmacy workflows at a comprehensive cancer center. The role involves working across Ambulatory Infusion, Investigational Drug Services, and Specialty Retail areas, providing versatile technical support.
Responsibilities Include
- Preparing medication orders, assisting in dispensing, and conducting sterile/non-sterile compounding.
- Managing inventory, maintaining documentation, and ensuring quality assurance standards.
- Supporting workflow management, system maintenance, and process improvements.
- Training staff and assuming primary responsibility for specific tasks or focus areas, including complex compounding and automation.
Qualifications And Skills
- High School Diploma or GED; 2-5 years of experience preferred.
- Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in Illinois and Missouri; Pharmacy Tech Certification required.
- Knowledge of electronic/automated systems, inventory management, and sterile/non-sterile compounding.
- Ability to serve as a resource, troubleshoot, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
This position requires: a licensed technician with proficiency in multiple responsibilities, capable of supporting pharmacy operations and ensuring medication safety and accuracy.
