Inpatient Pharmacy Technician III provides support within a hospital pharmacy, assisting with medication preparation, dispensing, sterile and non-sterile compounding, inventory management, and documentation. Under supervision, they serve as a resource for complex issues, support automated systems, and maintain quality assurance standards. The role involves training, system maintenance, workflow improvement, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing medication orders and conducting compounding tasks
- Supporting inventory activities such as storage, ordering, and rotation
- Assuming responsibility for specific tasks or focus areas, including system and process improvements
- Maintaining documentation and quality assurance standards
- Supporting automation, electronic systems, and regulatory compliance
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-5 years of experience; 5-10 years preferred
- State Board Pharmacy Registration and Pharmacy Tech Certification
- Detail-oriented, patient-focused, collaborative, and adaptable to automation systems
