Injection Molding Manager

Job Description:

• Operate and monitor injection molding machines to ensure smooth and efficient production.
• Set and adjust machine parameters such as temperature, pressure, injection speed, holding pressure, and cycle time.
• Ensure molded products meet the required quality specifications and standards.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections to identify defects such as short shots, flash, sink marks, warpage, and discoloration.
• Perform mold changeovers and ensure molds and machines are properly prepared for production.
• Monitor production output, scrap/rejection rate, downtime, and machine efficiency.
• Perform basic troubleshooting for machine and molding-process problems.
• Follow company SOPs, safety procedures, 5S, GMP, and quality requirements.
• Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Production Planning teams to resolve production issues.
• Record production data, machine parameters, quality results, and downtime accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized production area.
• Perform basic machine and mold preventive maintenance as required.
• Support continuous improvement activities to improve productivity, quality, and reduce waste.

Job Qualification:

• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Experience in injection molding production is preferred, especially in the cosmetics or plastic packaging industry.
• Knowledge of injection molding machines, molds, deco and molding processes.
• Ability to set and adjust machine/process parameters.
• Basic knowledge of troubleshooting molding defects and machine problems.
• Understanding of quality control, production processes, and inspection standards.
• Strong understand with RCA, 5S, GMP, Lean Manufacturing, and safety procedures is an advantage.
• Able to work in a fast paced production environment and meet production targets.
