This oncology infusion nurse role supports clinical trials at the Century City site of Valkyrie Clinical Trials. It involves performing IV infusions and injections of investigational products, obtaining biological specimens, and monitoring patients for reactions and adverse events. The position suits a compassionate nurse dedicated to clinical research and patient care.
Responsibilities
Adhere to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and all applicable regulatory requirements
Perform IV infusion and IM/SQ injections of blinded and unblinded investigational products according to study protocols
Obtain blood specimens and other biological samples from study participants/patients following proper clinical procedures
Ensure accurate and timely source documentation in compliance with GCP and sponsor guidelines
Monitor participants/patients for infusion reactions and adverse events and report and document findings per protocol, regulatory requirements, and site SOPs
Maintain confidentiality and integrity of study data and all participant/patient information
Collaborate with investigators, study coordinators, pharmacy, and other clinical staff to ensure protocol compliance
Participate in training sessions and maintain current knowledge of clinical trial procedures and safety standards
Represent Flourish Research in a professional and courteous manner (verbal, written and in appearance) when interacting with all staff, clients, and vendors
Communicate effectively, compassionately, and professionally with patients and guests, physicians, employees, and all others
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Requirements
Work is performed on-site in an outpatient clinical office setting
Local travel may be required to other sites as applicable
Daily computer use
Exposure to human bodily fluids

Occasional evening and weekend work schedules
Ability to properly lift thirty-five pounds and occasionally more than thirty-five pounds
Ability to drive and daily availability of an automobile
Active Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
BLS certification required
Minimum 2+ years' experience as an oncology infusion nurse
Proficiency in IV infusion, vascular access, port care, injections, and phlebotomy required
Proficient with EMR/EHR platforms
Critical thinking with strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and align with operations
Excellent oral and written communication skills
