Infusion Nurse

Job Summary

As an Infusion Registered Nurse at Progressive Hem Onc PLLC you will play a crucial role in prepping, mixing, and administering infusion therapies, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the treatment process. The ideal candidate will have strong IV skills, experience handling chemotherapy and biologic drugs, and a passion for delivering compassionate, expert care.

Responsibilities

• Administer IV infusions, including chemotherapy, biologics, and supportive therapies, following all safety protocols.
• Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after infusion treatments, responding to any adverse reactions.
• Perform IV insertions, venipuncture, and phlebotomy with precision and care.
• Collaborate with providers and the care team to ensure safe and accurate medication administration.
• Educate patients on their infusion treatments, potential side effects, and post-infusion care.
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment, adhering to infection control policies and hazardous drug handling protocols.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals receiving chronic and acute infusion therapies.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an infusion setting with oncology/chemotherapy exposure.
• Strong proficiency in IV therapy, venipuncture, and phlebotomy.
• Experience handling and administering chemotherapy in compliance with safety protocols.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple infusions.
• Exceptional communication skills and a commitment to patient education.
