Infrastructure Automation Engineer

About This Role

This engineering role focuses on automating the entire lifecycle of operating system assets and platforms to build complete solutions. It involves implementing repeatable images, regular problem-solving, maintenance, and support for configuration and security-compliant development to modernize systems. The role requires applying specific functional and general industry knowledge and developing solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity.

Responsibilities

• Perform implementation of repeatable images
• Provide regular problem-solving, maintenance, and support for configuration and security-compliant development to modernize systems
• Apply specific functional knowledge and working and general industry knowledge
• Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity
• Work independently with some guidance
• Review or guide activities of junior employees
• Concentrate on automating the entire lifecycle of operating system assets and platforms to build complete solutions

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience working on software development teams
• 1+ years of experience with scripting or programming, including Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• 1+ years of experience with version control systems
• Experience with system automation via PowerShell, Ansible, or Bash
• Experience with application containerization
• Knowledge of programming fundamentals, concepts, and language mechanics
• TS/SCI clearance
• HS diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT II Certification, including Security+, within 30 days of start date

Nice to have:

• Experience with Containers, including Docker, Kubernetes, or Rancher
• Experience with AWS or Azure Cloud
• Bachelor -s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Important Details

• Work model: remote (occasional in-person work required); hybrid (frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, may also require working from or visiting a customer facility); onsite (primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility)
