Information Technology Supervisor

Leading IT staff, overseeing daily technology operations, and supporting secure, reliable systems are the core functions of this IT Supervisor role. Responsibilities

• Oversee the architecture, design, implementation, monitoring, and management of NEC's local and wide area networks, including those supported through contractual agreements, to ensure reliable connectivity and maximum uptime for business operations, the SCADA environment, and users
• Plan, configure, and document new network installations, as well as maintain and upgrade existing systems and appliances
• Apply current technical expertise and strong cybersecurity practices to configure and maintain security controls across NEC's enterprise network
• Serve as the subject matter expert for designing and supporting on-premises and cloud-based virtual environments, including VMware, Microsoft Azure, and AWS
• Design and implement new network solutions and improve the efficiency of enterprise network
• Enable peak performance of the customer and management information and communications systems of the Cooperative by troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, installing, and performing testing activities on the Cooperative's computer equipment
• Direct daily and weekly IT activities; set priorities, assign work based on skills and workload, define deadlines and expected results, verify completion and quality
• Maintain appropriate staffing, coverage, and escalation arrangements
• Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings and regular team check-ins
• Establish performance goals, review work and progress, provide timely feedback, and complete introductory and periodic performance evaluations
• Address performance, conduct, attendance, and communication concerns promptly and objectively
• Document facts and follow-up actions, apply NEC policies consistently, and coordinate corrective action with Human Resources and management
• Review and approve time records and leave requests within delegated authority
• Reinforce supervisor-notification procedures, workday availability, and coverage requirements in accordance with NEC policies and applicable requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or a related field and at least three years of relevant IT experience; or an associate degree in a related field and at least five years of relevant IT experience
• Demonstrated formal experience supervising, directing work, coaching employees, and coordinating projects
