Information Technology Specialist

About This Role

This mid-level Information Technology Systems and Support Specialist position is responsible for supporting the company's technology environment and business systems. The role involves providing daily technical support, contributing to hardware, software, ERP, networking, cybersecurity, and system improvements, and leading IT projects. It suits a strong problem solver with excellent communication skills who can work independently and support users across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Work across the organization to support department managers and employees to identify technology needs and improve efficiency and system utilization
• Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and replace computers, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment
• Provide technical support for Windows, Microsoft 365, business applications, and user systems
• Support software installations, updates, patches, licensing, user access, and system configurations
• Provide day-to-day technical support for the company’s ERP and business systems, including troubleshooting, user access, testing, reporting, workflows, and system improvements
• Participate in and lead some ERP implementations, upgrades, integrations, migrations, and process improvements
• Support network connectivity, wireless systems, servers, endpoint protection, backups, and other IT infrastructure
• Assist with user accounts, permissions, security controls, and implementation of IT security practices
• Provide responsive, professional support to employees and communicate issues, status, and resolutions effectively
• Participate in IT projects involving hardware, software, ERP, networking, cloud services, cybersecurity, and business applications
• Coordinate with software providers, ERP vendors, and outside IT vendors when additional support is required
• Maintain accurate IT inventory, system documentation, procedures, licenses, and technical records
• Protect company information through an effective security and endpoint protection program, ensuring staying on top of latest security techniques and programs
• Identify recurring problems and opportunities for preventative solutions and continuous improvement
• Promptly escalate security concerns or significant technical issues
• Develop and update technical procedures and user instructions
• Maintain confidentiality and protect company information and systems while providing a strong level of discretion, sound ethics, and respect for employee privacy and confidential information

Requirements

• 3–5 years of hands-on IT experience in a business environment
• Strong hardware, software, and technical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Windows, Microsoft 365, business applications, and ERP systems
