Information Technology Specialist

About This Role

This full-time System Administrator role focuses on managing and maintaining the IT footprint in the India office, with a strong emphasis on user management, VDI instances, and resolving issues related to accounting software like CCH Axcess, ProSystem FX, and CCH Practice Management. The specialist will also address general Microsoft-related issues to ensure smooth and efficient IT operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain user accounts, ensuring proper access controls and security protocols with oversight from the US-based IT team
• Oversee and manage VDI instances, ensuring performance, security, and user satisfaction with the third-party provider in Azure Virtual Desktop
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CCH Axcess, ProSystem FX, CCH Practice Management, and other accounting software
• Handle day-to-day management of Microsoft-related systems, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Office 365
• Monitor and maintain system performance, availability, and reliability across all IT infrastructure components
• Provide advanced technical support to end-users, resolving complex issues efficiently
• Collaborate with the US-based IT support team to address and resolve escalated issues
• Implement solutions to mitigate recurring issues and improve overall system stability
• Ensure all systems adhere to established security protocols and compliance standards
• Assist in the development and implementation of IT security policies and procedures
• Participate in IT projects, including software upgrades, system migrations, and infrastructure improvements
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and delivery
• Maintain detailed documentation of IT systems, configurations, and processes
• Prepare regular reports on system performance, incidents, and resolutions for US-based management
• Work closely with the IT team in Mumbai to ensure consistent IT service delivery
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior IT staff as needed

Requirements

• 3-6 years of related work experience in IT Support
• BCA / MCA
• Familiarity with ITIL practices or similar frameworks
• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, with a strong focus on user management, VDI, and accounting software support
• In-depth knowledge of CCH Axcess, ProSystem FX, CCH Practice Management, and general Microsoft technologies a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
