Duties

Serves as the Information Technology (IT) Project Manager responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and the execution of information technology service programs.

Implements corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations and policies in the development of project and intermediate products.

Coordinates planning, design, cost-engineering, development and maintenance for projects.

Reports IT project milestones and budgets from planning through development and deployment.
Qualifications

Experience required: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: preparing Information Technology (IT) project plans, managing IT programs and IT acquisition projects for network infrastructure improvements; engaging in network infrastructure, telecommunications development, and IT maintenance and support functions; creating and/or implementing IT procedures, schedules and milestones relating to IT project management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:
- Knowledge of Information Technology Principles, Policies, and Procedures
- Knowledge of Information Technology (IT) Project Management Principles, and Practices
- Skill in Analytical Methods and Procedures
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the GS-11 grade (or equivalent).
