Information Technology Officer / Assistant Information Technology Officer

About This Role

This role involves managing and supporting IT infrastructure and services, with a focus on user support and system administration. The officer will handle PC imaging, system setup, automation, event support, and facility management, serving as a primary IT contact for senior staff. The position suits an IT professional with experience in system management and user training.

Responsibilities

• Manage, build, deploy and review PC images for end users' computers
• Set up and manage systems (e.g. Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager)
• Develop and maintain system scripts/applications for automation of tasks
• Manage IT services for college events, admission exercises and graduation ceremonies
• Manage IT facilities on campuses
• Maintain software and hardware such as unit web sites, servers and storage devices
• Serve as the primary contact of IT support for senior staff
• Prepare user guides and training materials, conduct user training demonstrations and workshops
• Liaise with IT service providers and manage IT projects
• Perform any other duties as assigned

Requirements

• A recognised degree in Information Technology, Computing Studies or a related discipline
• Five years of relevant post-qualification experience
• Good interpersonal and communication skills

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Azure, Power Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft Teams, ZOOM, HTML, MacOS and iOS device management, Linux scripting and server setup

Important Details

• Schedule: May be required to work on shift duties, including evenings, Saturdays and Sundays
• Contract: Initial appointment will be made on a two-year contract; re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement
