Your Role As a Information Security Technician, you will:
- Monitor and investigate email phishing alerts, Business Email Compromise incidents, SIEM, and endpoint alerts, escalating potential security threats as needed.
- Lead security incident investigations, including evidence collection, root cause analysis, and impact assessments.
- Develop and execute incident response playbooks to minimize response time and business disruption.
- Perform proactive threat hunting to identify security risks and mitigate potential threats before they escalate.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to communicate security findings and support effective incident resolution.
What You Need Non-negotiables
- 3+ years of experience in IT Security Operations, preferably within a multi-client or MSP environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with Office 365 and Azure.
- Experience with Business Email Filter platforms such as Barracuda and Proofpoint.
- Strong experience with SIEM, EDR, and MDR security tools.
- Strong understanding of incident response frameworks and digital forensics.
Preferred Skills/expertise
- Familiarity with network security architecture, including network segmentation, VPNs, and secure protocols.
- Experience developing and executing security incident response playbooks.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills, including root cause and impact analysis.
- Ability to communicate technical security findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Scripting or automation experience for security response processes is a plus.
