About This Role
This role is for an Infant Teacher who will bring their love of children and experience in childcare, daycare, or early childhood education to a team of kind, caring teachers and staff. The position involves nurturing and teaching infants within a research-based curriculum and home-based environment, with the opportunity to pursue Montessori Teacher Certification.
Responsibilities
- Play a supporting role in the classroom under the direction of trained Montessori teachers and work amongst a team of teachers
- Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy classroom environment in accordance with Montessori philosophy
- Provide basic care and active supervision of young children as needed
- Engage in positive redirection to children and maintain a positive learning environment
- Communicate with parents as needed on routine matters regarding the health and care of students
- Enroll in the Montessori Certification cohort (Infant/Toddler - birth to three)
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Minimum: CDA or Associate’s Degree, or some college coursework
Nice to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Development)
