Infant Childcare Worker

Job Summary

Duties

• Provide attentive supervision and care for children.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
• Ensure the safety of children by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary.
• Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and needs.
• Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and potty training for infants and toddlers.
• Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation, respect, and social skills development.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or classroom settings is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required.
• Must have references.
• Experience caring for infants and toddlers, including infant care routines and toddler care techniques.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, colleagues, and caregivers.
• Ability to manage behavior through positive reinforcement and age-appropriate discipline strategies.
