As a Mechanical Technician specializing in rotating machinery, you will play a critical role in maximizing the uptime and operational efficiency of our facility's core mechanical systems. You will leverage your technical expertise in troubleshooting and precision maintenance to ensure that high-value assets like pumps and compressors perform reliably under demanding conditions.
Responsibilities
- Execute preventative maintenance programs to extend the service life of critical rotating assets.
- Analyze complex mechanical failures to determine root causes and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Perform complete overhauls and precision repairs on turbines and centrifugal equipment to restore peak performance.
- Apply advanced measurement techniques to verify that equipment tolerances meet strict operational specifications.
- Partner with cross-functional maintenance teams to optimize workflow efficiency and project prioritization.
- Document all maintenance interventions and equipment health metrics to support data-driven reliability improvements.
- Champion a culture of safety by strictly following industrial best practices and site-specific hazard mitigation protocols.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
- Demonstrated professional experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial rotating equipment.
- Comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems, including pump and compressor theory.
- Proven ability to interpret complex technical schematics, blueprints, and OEM manuals.
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on precision and detail-oriented troubleshooting.
Preferred Skills
- Formal technical certification in mechanical maintenance or millwright trade school.
- Experience with vibration analysis or laser alignment tools.
- Proficiency in utilizing CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on collaborative team problem-solving.
