About the role
About The Role Rex.zone is hiring an Industrial Robotics Engineer to deliver end-to-end robotic automation solutions—from concept and simulation through integration, commissioning, and steady-state production support. This is a remote-first, full-time role with potential travel for commissioning or production support depending on project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and integrate robotic workcells (tooling, fixtures, sensors, guarding, safety devices)
- Program industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa) and optimize motion for cycle-time and repeatability
- Develop and integrate PLC logic, HMI interfaces, safety interlocks, and coordinated automation sequences
- Implement machine vision guidance/inspection workflows and calibrate hand-eye systems
- Commission systems (FAT/SAT), perform I/O checkout, safety validation, and run-at-rate testing
- Troubleshoot production issues using structured methods (fault trees, 5-Whys) to improve uptime and OEE
- Create and maintain documentation (IO lists, backups, SOPs, FAT/SAT reports, validation records)
Required Qualifications
- Mid-Senior experience delivering industrial robotics/automation projects in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Strong robot programming and integration skills (frames, TCP, payloads, recovery, diagnostics)
- Hands-on PLC and safety integration experience, including industrial communication networks
- Familiarity with machine vision systems (camera/lighting selection, calibration, inspection logic)
- Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings and collaborate across disciplines
Compensation Hourly rate: $30–$50 per hour (final rate depends on experience and scope).
