Major Job Duties:

Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the organization, ensuring operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.

Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time.

Participates in projects and initiatives and performs special assignments.

Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required.
Specialized Experience: At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband (NH-02), grade (GS-11) or equivalent. Specialized experience is described as performing aircraft maintenance, overhaul and modification processes; overseeing and performing repair processes and overall management of the depot program; and handling responsibility for all aspects of production within the aircraft production gates for aircraft in depot status.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

Knowledge of the applicable principles, concepts, policies and laws; functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of the position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve problems; and all aspects of support.

Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.

Ability to plan, organize, and direct, mentor, motivate and appraise the staff of a 100-plus sized organization.

Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information, make appropriate judgements, evaluate options, and communicate solution and issues across the organization and to support functions.

Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.

Ability to communicate effectively within the organization and with external customers and support entities.
Part-Time or Unpaid Experience: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid work on the same basis as for paid experience. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. To receive credit for such experience you must indicate clearly the nature of the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the number of hours per week spent in such employment.
Volunteer Work Experience: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
