Job Description

The Industrial Maintenance Technician will play a key role in keeping production equipment operating safely, reliably, and efficiently. This position is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and working directly with production teams to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production and packaging equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment, including motors, wiring, and controls.
  • Complete maintenance work orders and accurately document completed work.
  • Use computerized diagnostic tools to troubleshoot equipment and identify issues.
  • Work closely with operators and supervisors to proactively address equipment problems and reduce downtime.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Perform electrical repairs and rewire motors and other industrial components as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance, downtime, and production-related documentation.
  • Assist other maintenance team members with troubleshooting and repair activities.
  • Operate forklifts and other industrial equipment as needed.
  • Perform general maintenance activities such as lubrication, cleaning, power washing, and material handling.
  • Participate in occasional weekend, overtime, and on-call coverage as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous industrial maintenance experience , preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong industrial electrical troubleshooting experience.
  • Hands-on mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Experience with motors, electrical components, controls, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and understand automated or packaging equipment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use computerized equipment diagnostics.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and established operating standards.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently during an overnight shift.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Experience with scissor lifts, boom lifts, or similar equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to work occasional weekends, overtime, and on-call assignments.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical maintenance activities, including standing, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, working at heights, and working in confined spaces.
  • Ability to wear required respiratory protection when necessary and meet applicable safety requirements.
