Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Head of Industrial Design to lead the design and development of electrical products, including switches, sockets, accessories, and related products.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Industrial Design team and define product design direction.
• Drive the complete design process from research and ideation to prototyping and production.
• Develop innovative, functional, ergonomic, and customer-focused product concepts.
• Establish consistent design language, CMF, aesthetics, and product identity.
• Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Product teams.
• Ensure DFM/DFA, manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
• Guide materials, finishes, manufacturing processes, and tooling decisions.
• Mentor the design team and drive innovation and design excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelors/Master’s degree in Industrial/Product Design or related field.
• 8–12+ years of relevant Industrial/Product Design experience.
• Experience in electrical products, consumer durables, appliances, or hardware preferred.
• Strong skills in conceptualisation, sketching, visualisation, and product development.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing, prototyping, tooling, DFM/DFA, and ergonomics.
• Proven experience in leading design teams and managing multiple projects.
