About This Role
Developing concepts, prototypes, and technical drawings for new products is the core of this Industrial Designer role, leading projects from initial ideas to final implementation. The position involves translating design briefs into creative and functional solutions while collaborating with various teams and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects from initial concepts through to final implementation, ensuring design ideas are practical and achievable
- Translate design briefs into creative and functional solutions while working closely with cross-functional teams
- Develop concepts, prototypes, technical drawings, and design revisions while ensuring all specifications are met
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, clients, external vendors, and consultants throughout the project
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date design information, drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Work with vendors and production teams to ensure designs are properly developed and implemented
Requirements
- Background in Industrial Design or a related field
- Strong design thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills
- Able to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
- Proficient in 3D design and technical drawing software such as SolidWorks, Rhino 3D, 3ds Max, AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, or equivalent
- Able to produce accurate technical drawings, keylines, and specifications for prototyping and production
- Able to develop technical drawings from initial concepts, identify suitable materials and finishes, and coordinate prototype development
- Good visual, written, and verbal communication skills
- Responsible, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
