Industrial Designer

About This Role

Industrial designers are responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings for windows, doors, and building façade systems, and supporting new product development. This hands-on design role suits a skilled 3D modeller who wants to see their work turn into real, energy-efficient window and door systems. You will be at the centre of the design and delivery process, working across drawings, product support, and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings for windows, doors, and building façade systems
• Help staff and customers choose the right products, resolve issues, and answer technical questions
• Manage quotes, orders, and test results, plus organise and summarise product compliance documentation
• Liaise with Architects, Builders, Designers, and other stakeholders on product and project needs
• Support new product development, building prototypes, and tracking tools and dies across all projects
• Maintain product manuals and technical documentation

Requirements

• Proven 3D modelling capability in SolidWorks or Inventor, along with solid AutoCAD (2D) skills
• Minimum 3 years' industry experience in the building industry or industrial design
• Ability to accurately read and interpret architectural drawings and reports
• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a valid Driver's Licence
• Experience in technical writing, with the ability to create, update, and maintain clear documentation
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing competing priorities
