About the role
Position Summary
The Indirect Channel Manager is responsible for identifying, recruiting, and developing strategic partners that can integrate with and promote the company’s payment gateway and merchant-processing solutions.
The primary focus is building relationships with software developers, point-of-sale providers, independent software vendors (ISVs), independent sales organizations (ISOs), technology companies, and other integration partners that can generate new merchants and processing volume.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit developers, POS providers, ISOs, ISVs, software platforms, and other technology partners.
- Present the company’s payment gateway, APIs, integrated payment solutions, and merchant-processing services.
- Work with prospective partners to identify integration opportunities and develop mutually beneficial agreements.
- Coordinate with technical teams throughout API evaluation, integration, testing, certification, and launch.
- Serve as the primary business contact for integration partners and maintain strong, long-term relationships.
- Provide partners with product information, technical resources, pricing, training, and sales support.
- Develop strategies to increase merchant referrals, payment volume, and revenue from each partnership.
- Track integration progress, partner activity, merchant accounts, processing volume, and revenue.
- Represent the company at technology, payments, and point-of-sale industry events.
- Communicate partner feedback and market opportunities to executive, sales, and technology teams.
Qualifications
- Three or more years of experience in payments, fintech, merchant services, software partnerships, business development, or a related field.
- Experience developing relationships with software developers, POS providers, ISVs, or technology companies.
- Understanding of payment gateways, APIs, integrated payments, merchant acquiring, and point-of-sale systems.
- Strong business-development, relationship-management, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with external partners and internal sales, technology, underwriting, and operations teams.
- Existing developer, ISV, or POS industry relationships are strongly preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
Performance Measures
Success will be measured by:
- New integration partners recruited and activated.
- Gateway and POS integrations completed.
- Merchants generated through partner relationships.
- Partner-generated processing volume and revenue.
- Growth and engagement of existing integration partners.
- Achievement of partnership and production goals.
Compensation
Competitive base salary plus performance-based commissions, bonuses, and/or residual incentives based on partner activation, merchant production, processing volume, and revenue. Travel may be required for partner meetings, technology conferences, and industry events.
