Immigration Paralegal

About This Role

This Business Immigration Paralegal role within a fast-moving, high-impact team at a leading global law firm in Washington, DC, involves handling a full spectrum of corporate immigration needs. The team is recognized for its practical, responsive approach to complex employer-based immigration matters.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and finalize a wide range of immigration filings, including NIV (H-1B, L-1, E-2/3, TN, O-1), IV (EB-2/3, NIW, family-based), and PERM applications
• Participate in case strategy and intake, including SOC research and wage survey analysis
• Maintain clear, timely communication with HR teams, managers, and employees across multiple client organizations
• Track expiration dates and proactively initiate renewals
• Balance caseload across several attorneys while supporting team initiatives and special projects

Requirements

• 3+ years of paralegal experience, including at least 2 years in business immigration
• Strong research skills and familiarity with federal, state, and local rules
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal technology tools
• Ability to work under pressure, manage shifting priorities, and maintain a polished, professional presence
• Willingness to work overtime or travel on short notice when needed

Nice to have:

• PERM, O-1, and EB experience
