About This Role
Supporting attorneys in all aspects of immigration casework is the core of this full-time, on-site role. The Immigration Paralegal will prepare and organize immigration forms and legal documents, assemble supporting evidence, and maintain accurate client files, working under attorney supervision.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize immigration forms and legal documents
- Assemble supporting evidence
- Maintain accurate client files
- Communicate directly with clients to gather information, explain document requirements, and provide case status updates under attorney supervision
- Track deadlines and manage case calendars
- Assist with filings to government agencies such as USCIS, DOS, and EOIR
- Conduct legal research on immigration issues
- Prepare translations or coordinate translation services
- Collaborate with the legal team to ensure efficient case progression
Requirements
- Strong foundation in Law and Immigration Law, with the ability to understand and apply relevant statutes and regulations
- Experience handling EOIR Immigration Issues and Visas, including family-based, employment-based, humanitarian, and removal defense matters
- 3-5 years of experience in Legal Document Preparation for immigration filings, supporting evidence packets, and client correspondence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to manage multiple cases, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Associate
- Comfort working on-site and collaborating closely with attorneys and staff
- Proficiency with case management software and common office applications
- Multilingual skills, particularly Spanish is required
Nice to have:
- Prior paralegal or legal assistant experience in immigration law is highly preferred
- Bachelor
- Paralegal certificate, or equivalent relevant experience
