About the role
Rest Assured and UI Automation Testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks for web applications and APIs, ensuring high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute automated test scripts for REST APIs using Rest Assured.
- Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI and API testing.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Validate API requests, responses, schema, authentication, and data integrity.
- Automate web application testing using tools such as Selenium or Playwright.
- Work closely with developers, product owners, and QA teams to understand requirements and create test scenarios.
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and track issues to closure.
- Prepare test reports and maintain testing documentation.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Java programming.
- Hands-on experience with Rest Assured for API Automation Testing.
- Experience in UI Automation using Selenium WebDriver or Playwright.
- Good understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, JSON, XML, and API validations.
- Experience with TestNG/JUnit frameworks.
- Knowledge of Git, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
