About the role
Medical Disability Evaluator - Physician Position Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Compensation: $200-$230 per hour
Schedule: 2-5 days per week according to your availability
Session Length: 8-hour sessions
Schedule: Weekdays and weekends
Practice Setting: Established clinic locations
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough, structured clinical evaluations for disability compensation cases.
- Review relevant medical information and clinical documentation.
- Document clinical findings accurately using standardized templates and guidelines.
- Formulate clear, evidence-based medical opinions and causation analyses supported by clinical evidence and regulatory standards.
- Ensure all evaluations and reports strictly adhere to federal, state, and organizational regulatory requirements.
- Complete clinical documentation and reports accurately and within required timelines.
Qualifications & Requirements Education & Licensing
- Degree: MD or DO
- Specialty: Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Residents: PGY-3/PGY-4 residents may be considered with USMLE Step 3 passed
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted medical license
- Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in primary specialty

- Comfortable with technology and electronic documentation systems.
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to provide thorough, objective, and evidence-based medical opinions.
