Job Description / Responsibility
The John Amos Centre (part of John Amos International School) is a top-tier educational institution in Mymensingh city. Our facility features modern language labs, smart classrooms, and individual conversation rooms to maximize learning outcomes.
Department: Language Centre (Courses: Kids English, Junior English, Spoken English & Phonetics, IELTS Prep)
Job Location: 20, Shyamacharon Roy Road, Natun Bazar, Mymensingh, Bangladesh
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Delivery & Instruction
- IELTS Prep: Conduct intensive lessons covering all four modules (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking) with effective test-taking strategies.
- Spoken English & Phonetics: Facilitate interactive adult/senior learning sessions utilizing our dedicated conversation rooms for one-on-one practice.
- Kids & Junior English: Design engaging, activity-based lessons utilizing multimedia, visual aids, and interactive games suited for young learners.
2. Curriculum & Evaluation
- Create customized lesson plans tailored to specific student demographics (children vs. adults).
- Administer regular mock tests, evaluate student performance, and provide constructive, detailed feedback.
- Upgrade teaching materials inline with Cambridge standards and British Council guidelines.

Educational Requirements
- Master of Arts (MA) in English
- Minimum Master`s degree in English Literature from any reputed public University, Applied Linguistics, ELT, or any discipline with native-like English proficiency. An O-Level / A-Level completed candidates will be preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Experience: Prior experience teaching in an English-medium framework, British Council training partner, or an established IELTS coaching center is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional patience and creativity for teaching children, combined with a dynamic personality to motivate adults.
- Technical Ability: Comfort operating smart classrooms, multimedia setups, and language laboratory software.
