Job Summary The ICT Officer will provide 1st and 2nd level technical support to all staff and will be responsible for maintaining the organization's ICT infrastructure, including computers, servers, networks, software, communication systems and ICT assets.

In addition, the ICT Officer will act as the in-house technical focal point for the organization's Odoo ERP system, working closely with the appointed Odoo service provider and internal departments throughout implementation and ongoing operation. The post holder will develop a practical understanding of Odoo configuration, modules, workflows, integrations and customizations to support users, troubleshoot issues, coordinate system changes and ensure that sufficient technical knowledge and documentation are retained within the organization.

The incumbent will support the implementation and maintenance of reliable, secure and effective ICT solutions in line with Islamic Relief policies, procedures and strategic objectives.

Scope

The ICT Officer will provide technical support to staff and maintain ICT infrastructure, servers, networks, systems and assets.

The post holder will coordinate Odoo-related technical matters between users, management and the external service provider, including implementation support, testing, troubleshooting, user training, documentation, system enhancements and future customization requirements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• ICT Support and Infrastructure
• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot computers, laptops, servers, printers, phones, network equipment, software and other ICT assets.
• Provide timely 1st and 2nd level technical support to staff and resolve hardware, software, network and system-related issues, escalating complex issues where necessary.
• Maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365/Office 365 and other authorized ICT systems.
• Monitor and maintain servers, networks and ICT infrastructure to ensure availability, performance, security and reliability.
• Maintain accurate ICT asset and software inventories and ensure preventative maintenance is carried out.
• Maintain appropriate backup, recovery and disaster-recovery arrangements for organizational systems and data.
• Odoo ERP Implementation and Support
• Act as the internal ICT focal point for Odoo ERP, coordinating with the Odoo service provider and relevant internal departments.
• Participate in the Odoo implementation process, including infrastructure preparation, system configuration, data migration, integrations, testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), go-live and post-implementation support.
• Develop and maintain a practical understanding of the organization's Odoo modules, workflows, configurations, user permissions, integrations and approved customizations.
• Provide first-line technical troubleshooting for Odoo issues and determine whether issues relate to users, configuration, infrastructure, integrations or the application before escalating to the service provider.
• Gather and document user requirements for future Odoo enhancements and customizations, coordinate them with the service provider, and support testing and implementation of approved changes.
• Coordinate Odoo support requests and system incidents with the service provider, ensuring issues are documented, followed up and resolved within agreed timelines.
• Support user training and provide guidance to staff on Odoo functionality, system procedures and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of Odoo configurations, customizations, integrations, user access, technical procedures and system changes to ensure organizational knowledge is retained internally.
• Support Odoo upgrades, patches, integrations, performance monitoring, security, backup and recovery activities.
• Information Security and Compliance
• Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of organizational data and systems, with particular attention to sensitive operational, financial, HR and beneficiary information.
• Ensure appropriate user access controls and permissions are implemented and only authorized personnel have access to organizational systems and data.
• Comply with Islamic Relief information security policies, applicable local data protection requirements and recognized ICT good practice.
• Coordination and Other Responsibilities
• Maintain effective working relationships with ICT vendors, the Odoo service provider and internal departments and assist in monitoring service-provider performance.
• Provide regular updates to the supervisor on significant ICT incidents, Odoo issues, implementation progress, risks and proposed improvements.
• Perform any other ICT-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements Minimum 2–3 years of relevant ICT experience in a similar position.

University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
