Duties
As a Human Resources Specialist (Information Systems) you will perform the following duties:
- Provide senior level advice on human resources procedures and applications
- Provide advice and assistance to employees and managers, program administration, and research in matters related to human resources information systems procedures and applications
- Apply a wide range of personnel concepts, laws, policies, and analytical methods and techniques to address substantive technical issues or problems characterized by complex, controversial, and sensitive matters
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend to management appropriate interventions to resolve complex problems and issues
- Develop and deliver briefings, project papers, status/staff reports, and correspondence to foster understanding and acceptance of your findings and recommendations
Qualifications
You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level performing duties such as:
- Developing and presenting training modules to the HR staff to enable quick and efficient staff-wide access to needed information
- Serving as the lead technical support specialist for a HR facility
- Performing extensive troubleshooting of existing databases and modifying established protocols to correct and prevent HR systems problems
