As our business continues to scale rapidly across the region, we are seeking a highly qualified, business-oriented Human Resource Manager to align our regional talent strategy with our overall corporate goals.
Role Summary
As a vital partner to our global engineering teams and regional leadership, you will oversee the whole HK HR lifecycle. You will blend strategic HR planning with hands-on operational experience. An adaptable, data-driven HR leader who can comfortably navigate a fast-paced, high-growth workplace and understands the unique talent dynamics of financial technology is needed for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR planning : Develop and implement people strategies that enhance employee engagement, foster a high-performance engineering and sales cultures, and support business expansion by collaborating with regional leadership, tech leads and business heads.
- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Collaborate closely with the talent acquisition team to attract niche tech and financial engineering talent (e.g. Core Java developers, Quantitative Engineers, Enterprise SaaS Sales)
- Performance Management : Oversee the frameworks for career advancement, target-setting and the yearly performance evaluation process. Drive organizational design initiatives and restructuring as teams scale.
- Compensation & Benefits: Manage regional payroll inputs, benefit schemes, and annual salary review cycles. Ensure the company benchmarking remains highly competitive with the tech and banking sectors
- Employee Relations and Compliance : Act as the primary point for contact for employee grievances, disciplinary processes, and workforce disputes. Maintain strict compliance with regional labor laws and employment ordinances.
Key Requirements
Experience & Industry
- 8–10 years of total progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a HR Business Partner or HR Manager role.
- Mandatory experience within the investment banking, financial services, or financial technology (FinTech) sector. Candidates must demonstrate a deep understanding of front-office cultures, regulatory constraints, and technology-driven business models.
- Proven track record of supporting software engineering, product development, or quantitative research teams is highly preferred.
Language Proficiency
- Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English (written and spoken) – essential to effectively communicate with stakeholders across Greater China, global headquarters, and regional teams
Skills & Competencies
- Strong business acumen with the ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders at an operational and strategic level.
- Expert knowledge of employment legislation in Hong Kong, and/or mainland China.
- Exceptional negotiation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
- High emotional intelligence and resilience to manage sensitive matters in a high-performance environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and data analytics; comfortable working with metrics and dashboards.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field. Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD, or equivalent) is an advantage.
