About the role

Role: Regional HR Business Partner

Location: Kent-based, with regular travel across the region

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Working pattern: Home-based with travel to operational sites approximately 2 to 3 days per week

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a confident and experienced HR professional to join a large, growing organisation as a Regional HR Business Partner.

You’ll act as the main HR contact for leaders across a portfolio of sites, building strong relationships and providing straightforward, solution-focused support. The role combines hands-on employee relations casework with wider business partnering responsibilities, including organisational change, manager coaching, recruitment, compliance and people projects.

You’ll be joining a busy and evolving environment, so this role would suit someone who is comfortable managing competing priorities, working independently and spending time with stakeholders across different locations.

Key responsibilities

  • Providing expert HR advice to senior leaders and operational managers
  • Taking ownership of complex disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and performance cases
  • Supporting managers through organisational change and consultation processes
  • Coaching stakeholders on effective people management
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement and compliance activity
  • Ensuring people policies and processes are applied consistently
  • Supporting the integration of new locations, employees and working practices
  • Working collaboratively with specialist and central support teams
  • Reviewing people data to highlight trends and areas requiring action
  • Supporting strategic HR projects and wider organisational priorities

About you

You’ll already have experience operating at HR Business Partner level or in a comparable generalist role. You’ll be confident handling complex employee relations matters independently and able to build trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

You’ll also need:

  • Strong generalist HR knowledge
  • Experience working across multiple locations
  • Knowledge of UK employment legislation
  • Experience supporting change, restructuring or transformation
  • Strong communication, influencing and coaching skills
  • A commercial and pragmatic approach
  • The resilience to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across Kent and the surrounding region

Previous experience in a multi-site, regulated or people-focused organisation would be advantageous, as would a CIPD qualification
