Duties
- Knowledge of personnel procedures, actions and processes to include: customer assistance, personnel affairs, personnel system management, career progression, quality force, and personnel utilization.
- Knowledge of, and skill in applying, an extensive body of military human resources rules, procedures, and operations sufficient to process a wide variety of military human resources actions/transactions and/or non-standard HR support work; planning, coordinating, developing and/or resolving support problems in one or more HR specialist areas.
- Ability to apply information to complex and unusual military HR questions and issues.
Qualifications
General Experience: Administrative or clerical experience, education, or training which demonstrates the candidate's ability to perform the duties of the position; experience using computer and automation systems.
Specialized Experience: Must have at least 9 months experience, education or training that provided knowledge of general office work which may include but is not limited to: answering telephones, receiving and distributing mail and maintaining records; experience following oral or written instructions to accomplish work; experience in establishing and retrieving files and information; experience using common computer software designed for word processing.
Education
Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: High school graduate or the equivalent may be substituted for 3 months of specialized experience. Education in schools above the high school level may be substituted for experience on the basis of one academic year of study (i.e. 36 weeks of substantially full time study, or 30 semester hours, or the equivalent) for 12 months of the required experience.
