About This Role
This HRIS Specialist role is for a professional who will help ensure a stable evolution of HR processes through digitalization and automation. As a specialist for Workday and other assigned HR applications, you will translate requirements into sustainable solutions, monitor data quality, and follow up on integrations. You will be part of the HR process, technology & data team and work closely with the entire HR team, with room to specialize further in quality, data, and systems.
Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday and assigned HR applications, considering the impact on processes, data, security, and integrations
- Thoroughly test scenarios for every change, validate the functioning of processes and data flows, and provide a technically sound judgment before anything goes into production
- Develop reporting and data control solutions, validate the output against sources, and signal structural data quality problems as soon as they are noticed
- Monitor that data flows between Workday and other systems run timely, completely, and correctly, so that the organization can rely on reliable data at all times
- Analyze the cause of technical incidents, determine the right approach, and escalate to the involved owner or partner where necessary
- Document configurations, tests, and choices made, provide explanations for new functionalities, and actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the team
Requirements
- Effortlessly connect different data and sources and translate them into a coherent, workable solution within Workday or a comparable application
- Be curious about numbers and processes: critically analyze, distinguish main from side issues, and get to the core of a problem
- Have in-depth Excel skills: pivot tables and basic formulas are not enough; you are comfortable with Power Query, Pivot, DAX
- Experience with Workday, other data systems, or Power Automate is a plus
- Independently tackle unexpected situations, weigh possible solutions, and take the initiative to arrive at a sustainable approach together with involved owners and partners
- Provide targeted advice to colleagues and partners, inside and outside the organization, based on your expertise, and build trust in your judgment
- Test, validate, and document with the necessary accuracy, knowing that a small error in Workday can have major consequences
- Communicate fluently in Dutch and English, the language of our tools, work documents, and international partners, and effortlessly switch between technical depth and clear explanations to non-technical colleagues
