HR Operations Business Partner - North

About This Role

This HR Operations Business Partner role involves partnering with operational leaders across multiple hospitality venues. The successful candidate will support managers with people matters, drive learning and development initiatives, ensure compliance with employment legislation, and help create an engaging workplace culture. It is a hands-on business partnering role with regular travel to sites across the South, operating a portfolio of around 250 employees.

Responsibilities

• Act as the HR partner for operational teams, providing practical people advice and support
• Coach managers on employee relations matters, policies, and best practice
• Manage a wide range of employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, flexible working, and workplace conflict
• Support the full employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding through to performance management and offboarding
• Review and update HR policies in line with legislative and business changes
• Identify learning needs and deliver training initiatives to improve capability across teams
• Monitor people data and produce regular HR reports for key stakeholders
• Analyze trends to recommend improvements and promote consistency across the business
• Support appraisal processes and encourage completion across management teams
• Ensure HR records and data are maintained in line with GDPR requirements
• Lead and support HR projects aligned with wider people strategies
• Respond to HR queries and contribute to wider People Team initiatives

Requirements

• Previous experience in an HR Business Partner role or as an up-and-coming HR Advisor, within Hospitality or multi-site Retail
• Strong employment law knowledge
• Confidence managing complex employee relations cases
• CIPD Level 5 or equivalent is preferred
• Excellent communicator with strong influencing skills
• Experience delivering learning and development initiatives
• Ability to build trusted relationships while working in a fast-paced environment
