HR Manager / Safety Officer

About the role

The Employee shall be primarily responsible for managing and implementing the company's Human Resources functions and workplace safety programs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the day-to-day Human Resources operations of the company
• Serve as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR-related concerns, inquiries, requests, and complaints, and ensure that these are properly addressed
• Handle recruitment activities, including job postings, screening, interviews, hiring, and onboarding of qualified employees, as needed
• Conduct employee orientation and ensure that new employees are properly introduced to company policies, procedures, and workplace rules
• Maintain accurate and updated employee records, both digital and physical, including personnel files and other employment-related documents
• Oversee the proper documentation and administration of employee compensation, benefits, leaves, attendance, and other HR-related matters
• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of employee performance management and evaluation procedures
• Coordinate employee development, training, seminars, and other learning activities
• Develop, implement, communicate, and maintain company HR policies, procedures, and employee guidelines
• Promote positive employee relations and assist in resolving workplace concerns, conflicts, grievances, and disciplinary matters in accordance with company policies and applicable laws

About you

• Act as the designated Safety Officer of the company and assist in implementing and maintaining the company's Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) programs
• Ensure that workplace safety policies, rules, and procedures are properly communicated and implemented among all employees
• Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify unsafe conditions, hazards, and practices, and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions
• Monitor compliance with applicable occupational safety and health requirements and company safety policies
• Coordinate and assist in the conduct of safety orientations, toolbox meetings, training, drills, and other safety-related activities
• Promote safety awareness among employees and encourage compliance with proper safety practices and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Assist in the investigation and documentation of workplace accidents, incidents, injuries, and near-miss events and recommend measures to prevent recurrence
• Maintain and update safety records, inspection reports, incident reports, training records, and other required safety documentation
• Coordinate with management, employees, contractors, and relevant government agencies regarding occupational safety and health matters, when necessary
• Recommend improvements to workplace safety practices, procedures, and programs to minimize risks and prevent accidents and injuries
