HR Generalist

About This Role

An HR Generalist who maintains confidentiality and embraces technology will find an exceptional opportunity to deliver an outstanding experience for the team. This role focuses on the timely completion of core People/HR processes within a culture that values collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly payroll in Paycom, reconcile pay and deductions, and answer employee questions
• Coordinate 401(k) contributions, loans, distributions, and audits
• Address employee concerns and conflicts
• Support investigations, discipline, and terminations
• Track manager performance reviews
• Keep employee records accurate
• Stay current on federal and New Jersey employment law
• Manage leave, policies, notices, and audit readiness
• Manage enrollments, changes, and open enrollment
• Coordinate HRA, FSA, health, life, and voluntary benefits
• Partner with the recruiter on offers and new hires
• Manage orientation, Paycom onboarding, terminations, and exit interviews
• Support recognition, engagement, training, and HR policy improvements

Requirements

• Maintain confidentiality and hold yourself to a higher standard of integrity
• Embrace technology and have a thirst for knowledge
• Make people feel comfortable, even in difficult conversations
• Hands-on payroll processing, benefits, and 401(k) administration
• Employee relations experience, with sound judgment and conflict resolution
• Working knowledge of federal and New Jersey employment compliance
• Clear communication, strong organization, and discretion with confidential information
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems
• Independent follow-through and the drive to keep deadlines
