HR Director

About This Role

This HR Director role involves overseeing the daily human resources operations within a skilled nursing facility. The position requires a hands-on, organized professional with strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of human resources in a long-term care environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance
• Partner with facility leadership to support staffing, retention, and employee engagement
• Manage employee relations, investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance management
• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and healthcare regulations
• Maintain accurate personnel records and oversee HR audits
• Coordinate employee benefits, leave administration, and HR-related processes
• Support payroll and timekeeping processes
• Promote a positive workplace culture and strong employee communication

Requirements

• Human Resources experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care (LTC) setting required
• Previous HR Director, HR Manager, or HR leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance, and employee relations
• Experience with HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping systems preferred
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
