HR Consultant

About This Role

The HR Consultant will help MSMEs strengthen their people, processes, and business performance by understanding client requirements, identifying HR-related challenges, and building effective human resource management systems. This role is for someone interested in helping businesses build structured HR systems, improve employee performance, establish accountability, and implement solutions that support business growth.

Responsibilities

• Understand clients' business requirements and identify their HR and people-management challenges
• Assist in designing and implementing HR policies, processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Develop and improve organizational structures, job descriptions, KRAs, KPIs, and performance appraisal systems
• Support clients in manpower planning, recruitment processes, onboarding, and employee management
• Help businesses establish employee performance monitoring and review systems
• Conduct HR audits to identify gaps in existing HR practices and recommend practical improvements
• Assist in developing employee handbooks, attendance policies, leave policies, and other HR documentation
• Work with client management teams to improve employee engagement, accountability, and workplace productivity
• Prepare client reports, presentations, HR documentation, and implementation plans
• Monitor the progress of HR initiatives and follow up on their implementation
• Coordinate with internal consultants and business owners to ensure timely project execution
• Maintain professional relationships with clients and provide regular updates on project progress

Requirements

• Strong understanding of core HR functions and HR management practices
• Knowledge of HR policies, SOPs, KRAs, KPIs, performance management, and organizational development
• Good communication, presentation, and client-handling skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to understand business problems and suggest practical HR solutions
• Good documentation and report-writing skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
• A practical, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on implementation
• MBA/PGDM in Human Resource Management or a related field

Nice to have:

• Relevant experience in HR consulting, HR operations, organizational development, or HR business partnering
• Strong HR fundamentals and relevant internship or project experience for freshers
