HR Consultant

About This Role

This HR Consultant role is part of the HR team at EY in the Netherlands, specifically supporting Audit Financial Services (FS). The consultant provides valuable operational and tactical contributions, acting as a crucial link within the HR FS EW team and for the business. The role helps implement EY's Talent strategy and mission to empower people to become exceptional.

Responsibilities

• Advise business leaders and the Talent Leader on HR-related topics such as performance management, workforce management, absenteeism, turnover, mobility, development programs, and salary proposals
• Support the audit practice within the financial sector with strategic and tactical HR issues
• Contribute to the execution of the HR cycle, including appraisal rounds, mobility, development programs, and compensation issues
• Identify opportunities for improvement and actively contribute to further optimizing existing HR processes
• Seamlessly switch between operational tasks and tactical HR challenges within a dynamic and international organization
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders within the business and collaborate closely with colleagues from the national HR team

Requirements

• Completed HBO or university education, preferably in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a comparable field
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably within HR or HR consulting
• Good listening skills, strong advisory skills, and strong communication skills, enabling effective advice and the building of sustainable relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Proactive, customer- and results-oriented attitude, capable of building effective working relationships within an international organization with a partner structure
• Strong analytical skills, able to work independently, proactively, and structured, setting priorities and delivering quality in a dynamic environment
• Excellent command of both Dutch and English, written and spoken
• Agile mindset, flexible and adaptable in thinking and acting, open to change, continuously seeking improvement, and valuing teamwork
• Able to function independently in a dynamic, demanding environment, but also to ask the right questions or escalate when necessary
• Customer focus and a strong personality, combined with enthusiasm, energy, and drive
