HR Assistant

About This Role

This HR Assistant role in Jakarta involves supporting the Global HR team with day-to-day HR operations. The position focuses on administrative tasks, employee relations, and compliance, ensuring efficient human resource department operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation (e.g., contracts, policies)
• Support employee relations issues according to standard policies, benefits, and hiring processes, building and maintaining relationships with managers and employees, and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
• Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
• Provide clerical support to the HR department
• Liaise with the finance team to ensure accurate payroll processing and administer the payroll function
• Act as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers
• Conduct or assist with new hire orientation
• Assist with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations
• Handle employee change of role, terminations, exit interviews, assist with company property, and update employee records

Requirements

• 4 - 6 years of experience as HR Generalist in a multinational company
• Degree in Human Resources/Psychology/Business Administration or a relevant field is preferable
• Deep understanding of labor laws and employment equity regulations
• Comfortable working with HR systems, databases, and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication in English, both verbal and written
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
