Housekeeping

About This Role

This event housekeeping role supports the operations team at Altria Theater, assisting with daily cleaning and event-related tasks. It involves maintaining the cleanliness of both interior and exterior areas of the venue.

Responsibilities

• Clean the interior and exterior of the venue
• Perform sweeping, mopping, buffing, dusting, vacuuming, and window cleaning
• Clean restrooms, including trash removal, restocking paper products, and cleaning urinals, sinks, and toilets
• Operate various types of cleaning equipment, including vacuums, floor scrubbers/sweepers, buffers, and other tools used by the Operations Department
• Control janitorial supplies and keep a weekly inventory for the Operations Supervisor
• Alert the Operations Supervisor to areas needing extra attention and work with them to address issues
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Operations Supervisor, Operations Manager, and Director of Operations

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, graveyard shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to communicate in English in emergency situations to promote safety
• Ability to take direction and relay it to co-workers in a way that promotes safety and efficiency
• Strong communication skills with peers, clients, and customers
• Ability to identify projects that need to be done and report them to the Operations Supervisor

Nice to have:

• 1-2 years of housekeeping experience with BBP and PPE training/experience
• Some experience using hand tools

Important Details

• Schedule: Part-time, shifts may include nights, graveyard shift, weekends, and holidays
