About the role
Role Overview: The RN House Supervisor provides hospital-wide leadership, overseeing clinical, operational, financial, and human resources in the absence of senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate hospital operations, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
- Mentor and supervise department supervisors, charge nurses, and staff, promoting teamwork and accountability.
- Utilize performance improvement methods, Lean Six Sigma, and evidence-based practices to drive excellence.
- Serve as a safety officer, maintaining compliance with regulatory and quality standards, and fostering a culture of safety.
- Facilitate effective communication among staff, physicians, patients, and visitors.
- Respond to emergency situations, manage hospital capacity, and ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Support patient flow from admission to discharge, ensuring seamless care delivery.
- Ensure adherence to legal, ethical, and professional standards, including nursing scope of practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, or Health Administration.
- RN licensure (single-state or multi-state compact) and current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience and 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage emergencies and foster collaboration.
