House Manager & Personal Assistant

About This Role

This part-time role supports a busy, active family of five, bringing calm and order to their household. The House Manager and Personal Assistant will handle a variety of tasks from household organization and administrative support to meal preparation and pet care, thriving in a supportive, behind-the-scenes capacity.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily tidying, surface resets, light vacuuming, dishes, and general upkeep between deep cleaning visits
• Manage high-traffic drop zones (entry areas, shoe storage)
• Coordinate seasonal décor transitions (Halloween, winter holidays, etc.) and seasonal clothing rotations
• Execute organization projects as needed: pantry, refrigerator, medicine cabinet, storage areas, playroom
• Handle gift wrapping, birthday party prep, and school event supply coordination
• Facilitate donation drop-offs for clothing, books, and household items
• Research, schedule, and serve as point of contact for home repairs and service providers
• Coordinate pool and patio upkeep (skimming, pool toy management, seasonal oversight)
• Manage and maintain the family calendar, actioning and tracking school, household, and family-related events and details shared by the family
• Support travel planning and preparation, helping coordinate logistics
• Restock pantry and household supplies; manage subscription services
• Put away bulk purchases (seltzer, water, etc.)
• Handle returns, dry cleaning drop-off/pickup, gift shopping, and miscellaneous errands
• Chop vegetables and prep ingredients 2-3 times per week
• Plan meals around complex dietary restrictions: gluten-free, dairy-free, and multiple food allergies across the family
• Research and suggest allergy-friendly, varied recipes; use of AI meal planning tools is encouraged
• Gather laundry from all rooms and have bags ready for scheduled pickup service (Mondays and Thursdays)
• Put away returned laundry – folded and sorted to the correct rooms
• Perform weekly cat litter box cleaning
• Provide occasional dog walking during meetings or family travel
• Manage pet supply inventory
• Offer occasional pet-sitting support while the family is traveling
• Coordinate family vehicle washes approximately 3–4 times per month
• Drop family vehicles off for scheduled maintenance; Uber reimbursement provided
• Assist with school-related errands (back-to-school supplies, seasonal clothing needs, etc.)
• Support youngest child with room tidying and playroom organization

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a house manager, personal assistant, or similar household support role
