Hotel Manager

About This Role

This Hotel Manager role is responsible for overseeing the B&B HOTEL Brussels Airport, leading its team, and driving its continued development. The position suits an experienced hotel professional who can manage operations, ensure guest satisfaction, and achieve financial targets for a 255-room hotel.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily operations and supervise reception, housekeeping, breakfast service, bar, maintenance, and guest services
• Organize team work and ensure proper application of B&B HOTELS operational procedures
• Control the cleanliness of the establishment, the good condition of equipment, and the functioning of facilities; initiate necessary corrective actions
• Identify possible improvements in organization and services, then implement them
• Ensure the quality of welcome and stay, responding to customer needs and enforcing brand standards
• Handle complaints reactively and professionally
• Monitor customer reviews and use feedback to improve service, cleanliness, and hotel operations
• Collaborate with commercial teams to develop reservations and sales of additional services
• Monitor reservations, rates, and promotions to optimize occupancy and revenue per available room (RevPAR)
• Deploy brand commercial actions, including cross-selling, up-selling, and overbooking management
• Promote the B&me Club loyalty program to guests
• Maintain relationships with commercial partners and represent the hotel at local events, trade shows, or conferences
• Regularly analyze hotel results and implement necessary actions to achieve objectives
• Control operating expenses, including staff, breakfast, laundry, maintenance, and utility costs
• Contribute to budget development and activity forecasts
• Implement contracts negotiated with suppliers and service providers, and monitor compliance with their commitments
• Recruit employees and adapt contracts and staffing to business needs, in compliance with applicable regulations
• Create schedules in accordance with labor law and coordinate daily team work
• Monitor mandatory training and support the development of each employee's skills
• Set clear expectations, monitor performance, provide feedback, and create a demanding yet supportive work environment
• Prevent and resolve difficulties within the team
• Supervise employment contracts, Dimona entry and exit declarations, encoding of services, and variable pay elements
• Ensure the proper execution of recurring personnel administration procedures, especially those related to employee benefits
• Enforce regulatory obligations, security procedures, and B&B HOTELS standards to protect guests and employees
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene standards for product handling and presentation
• Identify and report risks, incidents, injuries, breakdowns, or equipment damage, then monitor corrective measures
• Work closely with the Property Manager on security, hygiene, and maintenance issues
• Participate in mandatory training related to property and personal safety and ensure its deployment in the hotel
• Implement actions defined with the external service and the internal prevention and protection advisor at work
• Keep the external prevention service platform up to date and monitor occupational health obligations, including medical examinations

Requirements

• Confirmed experience in operational hotel management
• Mastery of service quality, management, security, and economic performance issues for an establishment of this size
• Ability to grow a team: recruit discerningly, transmit methods, develop skills, and empower employees
• Ability to set a clear framework while remaining available to support the team
• Field-oriented with knowledge of hotel trades, actively observing services and intervening alongside the team when activity or a particular situation requires it
• Ability to combine overall vision, attention to detail, and capacity for action
• Fluent in French and English
