About This Role
Managing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of a hotel is the core responsibility of this role. The Hotel Manager ensures smooth functioning across all departments and maintains high standards of guest experience and service quality. This position suits a hands-on hospitality professional who can take ownership and ensure efficient hotel operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate daily hotel operations and staff
- Ensure smooth functioning of Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B and other departments
- Monitor guest experience, service quality and operational standards
- Handle staff coordination, scheduling and basic performance management
- Manage vendors, inventory and day-to-day operational requirements
- Address guest concerns and resolve operational issues promptly
- Maintain proper communication and reporting to the Owner
- Take ownership of tasks and ensure timely completion with minimal supervision
- Handle daily floor operations, staff scheduling, and customer service
- Monitor daily cash flow and billing
- Monitor and execute billing as well as closing cash
- Control food/beverage costs
- Manage inventory
- Prepare monthly performance summaries and workforce management
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in hotel/hospitality management
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to independently manage multiple operational responsibilities
- Professional attitude with a strong focus on guest satisfaction and service quality
- At least 3 to 5 years handling daily floor operations, staff scheduling, and customer service
- General knowledge of FSSAI hygiene guidelines and local labor regulations
- English, Tamil, Hindi language proficiency
Nice to have:
- Experience in independent hotels/resorts
- Any degree/Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hotel Management (BHM)
