About the role

We are seeking an experienced Hotel Manager to join in Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu. This is a full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to lead and manage all aspects of hotel operations for our hospitality division. As Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining operational excellence, and driving profitability whilst upholding the highest standards of service. This role is pivotal in establishing our hotel as a premier destination in the region and requires a strategic leader who can inspire teams and deliver outstanding results.

What you'll be doing

• Overseeing all hotel operations including Sales, front-of-house, housekeeping, and maintenance departments
• Managing budgets, financial planning and revenue management to ensure profitability and cost control
• Recruiting, training, developing and motivating staff to foster a culture of excellence and service
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety and hospitality industry standards and regulations
• Maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction and managing guest complaints and feedback professionally
• Developing and implementing strategies to increase occupancy rates and revenue
• Coordinating with marketing teams to promote the hotel and enhance its brand reputation
• Conducting regular inspections of facilities and guest areas to maintain cleanliness and functionality
• Managing relationships with vendors, suppliers and external stakeholders
• Reporting to senior management on key performance indicators and operational metrics

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years' experience in hotel management or senior hospitality operations roles
• Proven track record of successfully managing multi-departmental hotel operations and achieving revenue targets
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting and profit optimisation
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with fluency in English; additional languages are advantageous
• Knowledge of hotel management systems and property management software
• Certification in hotel management, hospitality administration or related field is preferred
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset
• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required by the role
