Hotel Manager

About This Role

This role is the driving force behind Palihotel Westwood Village, overseeing Front Desk, Housekeeping, Engineering, Valet, and Overnight Operations as one cohesive team. You will balance hands-on execution with financial oversight, keeping the property safe, guest-ready, and running at the standard guests expect around the clock.

Responsibilities

• Maintain effective training programs across Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Engineering, ensuring every team member is highly productive
• Create and monitor department schedules weekly to meet budget
• Hold regular team meetings across all departments
• Lead the property Safety Committee and ensure full compliance with all safety requirements and brand SOPs
• Own the guest experience
• Respond to complaints, ensure service recovery, VIP attention, and encourage positive online reviews
• Oversee daily room and property inspections, partnering with Housekeeping and Engineering on linen quality, par levels, and maintenance issues
• Ensure the Engineering team completes preventative maintenance, work orders, and emergency response in a timely manner
• Manage wages, controllable expenses, inventories, and departmental financial performance against budget
• Lead by example, fostering an open, respectful team culture and championing the brand

Requirements

• 2 years of senior leadership experience
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Clear communicator with sound judgment, able to remain calm and resolve problems under pressure
• Proficiency in Opera or similar property management systems
• Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods
