Hotel Front Desk Agent

About This Role

Welcoming guests and ensuring they have an excellent stay is the core of this role, which involves managing their information, distributing keys, and answering inquiries. This position suits a professional with excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all hotel guest account information is accurate and up-to-date
• Answer incoming calls and questions about guests’ needs in-person and online regarding room bookings, room rates, amenities, available rooms, rewards programs, and special requests
• Give every guest a warm welcome, check them in, and check them out when they leave, ensuring you provide correct keys and room numbers
• Handle customer complaints as necessary
• Communicate with housekeeping to make sure guest rooms are ready

Requirements

• Excellent time management skills, organizational skills, customer service skills, and interpersonal skills
• Exhibits working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reservation management systems
• Has experience answering telephone calls and troubleshooting stressful situations
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

Nice to have:

• At least one year of hospitality industry experience as a hotel front desk agent or similar position
